Summary17930: Issue on not installed plugin : no way to reset error
Description

If an load error happen in a non installed plugin : no way to reset error

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce

Put the plugin uploaded in ./upload/plugins/
Go ro plugin manager : see the error : Access level to ResponseExportEmail::gT() must be public
Fix the plugin (private function translate or public function gT)
Reload page , scan files again … etc …

Expected result

reset error when scan files and allow to activate

Actual result

No way to reser error except via delete in DB

PS : this system are awfull … have a way to disable when debug is set to 2 or 3 must be done …

Sorry :) Just the whole system of disabling plugins when you work on it to debug it …
I need to report a Feature request or a dev mantis.

We have been reviewing the whole situation.
We have found some design stuff that needs to be solved, as for example being able to differentiate in between:

  • a plugin that never got installed.
  • a well installed plugin that failed during executions.
    But that is part of a new ticket.

As for this ticket, if the plugin is uninstalled and then re-installed, wouldn't this be a solution?

Plugin never installed here , then no way to uninstall or anything else.

With installed plugin : we can reset error.
