I was told to report it here.

Hello. We are updating from LimeSurvey 3 to LimeSurvey 6, but we're having an issue with the user's global permissions.
On version 3, for the Central Participant Database, the survey administrators are set up so they can only see the "List Active Surveys" and the "Add Participant To Survey" options.

That's the way we want it because we don't want other users creating participants, or modifying them.

On version 6, using the same permissions settings for Central Participant Database: View Read, now the users can't see the participant active surveys or add participants to surveys.

Is there a way to fix this? Like I said, we don't want users creating or updating participants.

In version 3, when users are given View/Read permissions for the Central Participant Database, they can see the "List Active Surveys" and the "Add participant to survey" options. Which is the access that is intended for the survey coordinators.
In version 5 and 6 however, when users are given the same permissions, View/Read for the Central Participant Database, these two options are greyed out.

Expected result

When giving users View/Read permissions for the Central Participant Database, we expect them to be able to see the "List Active Surveys" and the "Add participant to survey" options, which is the case with LimeSurvey 3.

Actual result

In version 5 and 6 when users are given the same permissions, View/Read for the Central Participant Database, these two options are greyed out.
